She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick W. Vandegrift and Helen E. Vandegrift (McCullough). She is survived by: her husband Richard W. Smith; her daughter Laura D. Smith; her sister JoAnn (Joseph J. Gallo); her brother-in-law Robert J. Smith (Deborah); her nephews, Joseph J. Gallo Jr., Robert J. Smith (Roberta "Bobbie"), Rev. James R. Smith and Christopher Smith; and her niece Cynthia Smith.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to any children's hospital or reputable animal shelter of the donor's choice.
