He was predeceased by: his parents, Dolores Otero Pagan and Carmen Rivera; his wife Blanca Mercedes Padilla; and his siblings, Bernardo Otero, Rufina Otero, Dolores Perez, Hilda Rodriguez, Herminio Otero, Luz Maria Vargas and Luis Otero.
He is survived by: his children, Wilfredo Otero, Mayra Otero, Andrea Otero, Olga Otero and Reinaldo Otero. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren.
