She was predeceased by: her parents, Luis Torres and Margarita Rivera; her children, Enoel, Jose and Daniel Nieves; her siblings, Ramon, Hector and Noemi DeJesus; and her close friend Jose Perez Feliciano.
She is survived by: her children, Edelmiro Nieves (Merilin), Cecilia Nieves and Alex Perez; her daughter-in-law Ana Nieves; her siblings, Maria V. DeJesus, Rene DeJesus and Carmen DeJesus; and her great grandchildren, Brayan Gamboa, Yoselyn Lopez and Noella Cartagena. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
