He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Carey and Gerard Carey; his wife Laura Chip Carey; his brother Daniel; and his parents-in-law, Dorothy and Joseph Chip.
He is survived by: his brothers, Gerard Jr. and Michael; his children, Kathryn Doonan (Greg), Christopher Carey Jr., Morgan DiRocco (Michael), Sean Carey (Sarah) and Maris Carey; and his grandchildren, Sloane, Claire and Michael Jr..
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Becker Funeral Home (219 Kinderkamack Rd, Westwood, NJ 07675). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Church (69 Valley St, Hillsdale, NJ 07642). A burial was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at the George Washington Memorial Park (234 Paramus Rd, Paramus, NJ 07652).
