He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Zenon Montanez and Clara Montanez (Aponte); his wife Adelia Montanez (Aponte-Reyes); his daughter Maritza Roman; his grandchildren, Jessica Herrera (Victor), Christian Roman (Alexandra), Daniel Roman and Vanessa Ramos; his great grandchildren, Amelia Ann Roman, Victor Hugo Herrera and Julian Alberto Herrera; and his siblings, Irma Colon, Elsie Vasquez, Elisa Rivera, Carmen Montanez and Virtudes Vélez. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
