He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Thompson and Edith Thompson; and his sisters, Eleanor, Sharon and Diane.

He is survived by: his wife Lynn Thompson (Harders); his children, Brian Thompson, Robin Barca (Paul) and Sherri Galgano (Vincent); his grandchildren, PJ, Sam, Isabelle, Mia and Paris; his siblings-in-law, David Harders and Rhonda Harders; and his sisters, Lois (Larry), Elizabeth, Linda (Dave) and Cindy.

Bill donated his time with many community activities.

We both were there at the beginning and shared approximately 20 as coworkers . Billy was a true pro and excelled at every step in his career. We had many laughs over the years as Billy was one funny guy . He was great at giving people nicknames.
