Hyers of Toms River, New Jersey, born in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 20, 2024. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Hyers and Helen Hyers. He is survived by: his wife Ellen; his children, Paul Hyers of Toms River and Elizabeth Hyers of Baltimore, MD; his siblings, Andrew Hyers, Patricia Murphy, Terry Hyers and Constance Hyers; his grandchildren, Rodney Myers (Destiny), Heidi Flood (Marlin) and Jessie Myers; his great grandchildren, Warren Flood, Isla Flood, Max Myers, Matino Myers, Mason Myers and Maddie Ruffin; his in-laws, Elizabeth and Lawrence Cohen; and also, Eric and Jon.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in Rich's memory be sent to the House of Hope, 253 Chestnut St., Toms River, NJ 08753 for their work with the poor.
