It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John G. Merrick of Toms River, New Jersey, born in Bayonne, New Jersey, who passed away on October 11, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Winifred Merrick (Kuhl) and Thomas Joseph Merrick Sr.; and his brothers, Thomas, Ronald, Richard and William Merrick.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Merrick (Mongelli); his siblings, James Merrick and Alma Merrick; his children, Jennifer Martiak (Merrick), Thomas Martiak, Jacqueline Aiello (Cosgrove), Vito Aiello, Robert Stanzione, Jessica Stanzione and James Cosgrove; his grandchildren, Rebecca Mitchell (Aiello), Sophie Martiak, Jacob and Vincent Stanzione; and his great grandchild Elizabeth Mitchell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
