We bid farewell to Irene L Santangelo of Toms River, New Jersey, born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 11, 2024 at the age of 96. Irene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Irene may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Irene touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Agnes Widuch and Louis Widuch; her husband Carmen Santangelo; her former husband Matthew Pienciak; and her sister Stephanie Kowalski.
She is survived by: her children, Christine St Leon of Colonia, NJ, Louise Hartzog of Flemington, NJ, Matthew (Barbara Pienciak) of Princeton, NJ, John Pienciak of De Borgia, MT and Thomas (Karen Santangelo) of Holiday, FL; her grandson John (Lindsey Pienciak) of No; and her great grandchildren, Max and Anna.
The inurnment was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St Gertrude Cemetery (53 Inman Ave, Colonia, NJ 07067).
