She was predeceased by: her husband Helmut Thiel; and her parents, Kurt Austinat and Minna Austinat. She is survived by: her children, Karoline Smith (Charles) and Robert Thiel (Joanne); her sister Rosemarie; and her grandchildren, Korinne Smith, Olivia Thiel and Robert Angelo Thiel.
