He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertha Santangelo and John Santangelo; his former wife Ruth Santangelo; and his siblings, John and Antoinette.

He is survived by: his wife Irene Santangelo; his children, Louise Hartzog of Toms River, NJ, Christine St. Leon of Colonia, NJ, Dave Santangelo of Flemington, NJ, Thomas (Karen Santangelo) of Holiday, FL, Matthew (Barbara Pienciak) of Princeton, NJ and John Pienciak of Montana; his grandchildren, Rebecca, Melinda, Dana, Kyle, Jacob, Allison, Amanda, Sean, Kristin, Patrick and Philip; and his great grandchildren, Faith, Mason, Madyson, Joseph (J. J.), Johnny and Luke.
