She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Rasmussen and Marge Rasmussen; and her brothers, Peter and Richie Rasmussen. She is survived by: her daughters, Amira Padilla (Kevin) and Nina Shinway (Samih); her grandchildren, Mikaela, Bella, Luca, Cora, Axel, Emmy and Jace; and her sisters, Carol Badaan and Debbie Bessette.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Higgins Home For Funerals (752 Mountain Blvd, Watchung, NJ 07069). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Bartholomew the Apostle Church (2032 Westfield Ave, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076). A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at the George Washington Memorial Park (234 Paramus Rd, Paramus, NJ 07652).
