It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sofia Rivera (Tinton Falls, New Jersey), born in Ocean, New Jersey, who passed away on June 7, 2018, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her children, Gladys Peña, Maria Cecelia Rodrigues, Luz Omaira Garcia and Miguel Rivera; her grandchildren, Pilar Peña, Javier Hernan Peña, Harold Peña, Steven Andrew Peña, Angelica Maria Garcia and Miguel Rivera Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Jorge Andres Sanchez, Brandon Peña, Ashley Peña, Blaise Ulysses Peña, Tessa Renee Peña, Brayden Alexander Peña and Anabella Sofia Pena.
In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept 142, Memphis TN 38148-0142 or to Alzheimer's Research, 425 Eagle Rock Avenue, Suite 203 Roseland, New jersey 07068 envelopes for both charities will be available at funeral home.
