He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcantonio Segreto and Lilly Segreto; his siblings, Mary Valentino, Rose Bujacich, John Segreto, Carlo Segreto and Bart Segreto; and his stepson David Reis.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Segreto; his children, John Segreto (Joanne), Mark Segreto (Alison), Paula Rodriguez and Joseph Segreto; his stepchildren, Jeffrey Reis and Leslie VanNote; his grandchildren, Katie Segreto (Jen), Emily Segreto, Lindsay Deremiah (Nicholas), Keith Segreto, Maura Venezzio (Dan), Eva Schaefer (Chris), Christina Watt (Mike), Joseph Segreto (Heather) and Nicholas Segreto; and his siblings, Paula Leonhardt, Anna Segreto, Thomas Segreto (Linda) and Antoinette Alfano (Joseph). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren.

Instead of sending flowers, the family asks for donations in Joseph's memory to the SPCA or the NJ Humane Society as a tribute to his lifelong love of animals.
