He was predeceased by: his parents, James F. Barschow and Francis A. Barschow; and his children, John Francis Barschow and Deborah Anne Barschow-Meadows. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Barschow; his siblings, Elaine Biederman and Ken Barschow; his children, James Joseph (Susan), William David (Susan), Kathleen Rose (Charlie) and Cynthia Lynn (Josias); his grandchildren, Margaret (Seth), Billy, Kevin (Sarah), Ashley, Jacki, Johnny Anthony, Cassidy, Courtney (Matt), Maddy, Chelsea and Joseph (Sharron); and his great grandchildren, Oliva, Logan, Zoe, Penelope, Giulianna, Michael and Chanel.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to the US Department of Veteran Affairs, because of how much they helped Jim in his time of need.
