With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerard P. DeVeaux Sr. (Tinton Falls, New Jersey), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 13, 2025 at the age of 92. He was predeceased by: his parents, Estelle J. Showers and Edmund DeVeaux of Beaufort, SC; and his siblings, Sherman DeVeaux, Edmund DeVeaux, Jerome DeVeaux, Gerald DeVeaux, Wesley Showers, Louis Showers, Estelle Waters, Marilyn Calloway and Frances.

He is survived by: his wife Clementine; his sons, Gerard DeVeaux, Jr. (Karen), Edmund DeVeaux (Dawn) and Sheldon DeVeaux (Nicole); his grandchildren, Bryana and Abrielle; his sisters, Jacqueline DeVeaux and Jessie Showers-Moore; and his sister-in-law Barbara DeVeaux.
