She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernice Logan Wright and Benjamin Turner (Benny); her husband John H. Rogers (Buddy); her siblings, Barbara Stokes, Jeanette Platts, Jean Hastings, Wanda Andino and Victor Turner; her stepson Kirk Wilcott; and her close friends, Margaret Shuler (Noonie) and Prestina William.
She is survived by: her niece Teah; her cousin Teah; her sons, Maurice White, Ernest Jones, Alex William Petty and John Rogers (Nicole); her adoptive sons, Tyrell Wright and Jamaal Platts; her stepdaughter Marie Rogers; her brother Wayne Turner (Elliot) of Columbus, OH; her grandchildren, Alicia, Jada, Mehki, Madison, Janae, Shaleece and Dowridge; her great grandchildren, True and Zakai; her close friends, Corey Clark, Omari Wilson and Audrey Womble; her godchildren, Malik Wiggins and Tashere; her niece Althea Jackson (Teah); and also Jason Rogers.
A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at 11:00 AM.
