Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Robert Thurner (Tenafly, New Jersey), born in Middletown, New York, who passed away at the age of 98, on September 30, 2021. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph John and Mary Theresa McHugh Thurner; his spouse Gean Crichton; his children, Christopher of Tenafly, NJ and Susan (Brian) of Arlington, VA; his siblings-in-law, Helen Crichton Monroe (Lawrence) and Richard Lynch (Maureen); his siblings, Marie Frances Thurner Kane, Eileen Thurner Hall and Joseph Thurner; and his siblings-in-law, Patricia Crichton Walsh, Maureen Crichton Lynch and John Crichton. He was also cherished by 27 nieces and nephews.
Masks must be worn and COVID-19 precautions followed.
In lieu of flowers, Bob and his family would ask that donations be made to Immaculate Conception School, or to the Fr. Bill Brown, OFM Mission Club to support his over 50-year mission in Peru, both of Wellsville, NY.
