He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sonia G. Mier, MD; his children, Melanie, Eric and Neil; his children-in-law, Joseph and Judy; his close friend Aurora Vallestero, MD; his siblings, Laura and Melecia; and his grandchildren, Benjamin, Alexandra, Michael, Jonathan and Chloe.
