He was predeceased by: his parents, Dominador and Purificacion; and his brother Feliciano. He is survived by: his wife Felicitas; his children, Glenn and Grace; his children-in-law, Elizabeth and Matthew; his grandchildren, Ana Lucia, Marcelo, Natalie and Dominic; and his siblings, Luisa, Julieta, Maxima, Monica, Concepcion and Joseph.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to the DADA2 foundation in Gilbert's name.
