We are sad to announce that on May 23, 2024, at the age of 97, Stephania Amelia Kowadla of Teaneck, New Jersey, born in Derby, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Samuel Kowadla; her parents, Daniel Geriak and Amelia Geriak (Horoshchak); and her siblings, John Geriak, Harry Geriak, Bill Geriak, Ann Preneta and Sandra Guerton.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Nichols (Stephen D. Nichols) and Allan Samuel Kowadla (Christine); her grandchildren, Alexandra Ann Nichols and Andrew Allan Nichols; and her nieces and nephews, Ignatius Preneta, Henry Preneta, Amy Geriak Russell, John Geriak (Eileen), Dan Geriak (Joann), Mark Geriak (Karen), Dan Guerton (Lorraine) and Karen Kowadla Dupcak (Ed).
The family requests that contributions may be made to any charity supporting the fight for Ukrainian freedom.
