It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Whitaker (Swedesboro, New Jersey), leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Whitaker (Shaw) and William H. Whitaker; his wife Marguerite; and his sister Lydie May Nelson. He is survived by: his sons, William Whitaker Jr. (Kathy) of Delaware and Thomas Whitaker (Drury) of Virginia; and his grandchildren, Mary Kay Baldwin, William Whitaker III, Emily Willey, Colin Whitaker and Mason Whitaker.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Richwood Methodist Church (104 Richwood Rd, Mullica Hill, NJ 08062). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Though suffering from Parkinson's Diseaseand dementia, Bill stayed engaged these last few months with staff and family in the time since losing Maggie.

“I was sorry to hear of Bill‘s passing. It’s been years and years since I’ve seen Bill or Maggie. I knew Bill from association in the Pitman-Glassboro jaycees. That’s going back till late 60s and early 70s. I always appreciated Bill‘s humor and candidness. He was a good friend at that time.”
