He was predeceased by: his father Dennis Lavin; and his sister Maureen Lavin. He is survived by: his mother Suzanne Lavin; his siblings, Colleen (Jay) and Kevin (Natasha); and his child Alexia Lavin (Colin). He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Maureen Lavin Scholarship Fund Kingsway High School 201 Kings Highway Woolwich Twp.
