Anna W. Gaither Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anna W. Gaither (Swedesboro, New Jersey), born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on April 7, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Phillip Whittaker and Alva Brown Whittaker; her sons, Cornelius W. Gaither and John C. Gaither; and her sister Dr. Edna M. Lockert.

She is survived by: her children, Carol G. Clark of Aberdeen, Carmen G. Taylor of Montclair and Reginald C. Gaither of Camden, NJ; and her grandsons, Offie E. Clark and Brandon G. Taylor. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, former students and many friends.

In the community of Swedesboro Anna served as a Cub Scout Den Mother, Welfare Secretary for the Salvation Army, member of the Women's Progressive Club and Chairperson of the American Cancer Society Fund Drive.
