He is survived by: his children, Joan Merrick Clark (Greg), Lillian Turchi (Nick), John W. Merrick (Laurie) and Michael Merrick (Elizabeth). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
