Merle Tackema Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merle Tackema (Sussex, New Jersey), who passed away on December 31, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Tackema and Katharine Tackema; and his brother-in-law Robert Aukema. He is survived by: his spouse Tilly Tackema; his children, Diana Trudgen of Wantage Twp, Harry Tackema (Carrie) of Wake Forest, NC, Jennifer Best (Jim) of Frankford Twp and Michael Tackema (Jennifer) of Fayetteville, NC.; and his sisters, Joan Aukema of Wantage Twp and Rosina Byma (Richard) of Wantage Twp. He is also survived by 16 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated in Merle's memory to either the Sussex Christian School, Northwest Christian School or Veritas Christian Academy.
