He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Orden and Elva Van Orden (Dyer); and his former wife Jeannette Van Orden (Lutz). He is survived by: his wife Wanda Kinney; his daughter Shannon Keller (James) of Sussex; his granddaughter Kaitlyn Keller; his stepdaughters, Debra of Sussex and Elsie Kinney of Sussex; and his brother Les Van Orden (Connie) of Branchville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
