He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Van Gorden Sr. and Olive Miller Van Gorden; his siblings, Maryln Weber, Barbara Kayes, Charles "Buddy" Van Gorden and Gary Van Gorden; and his son David Carlisle Van Gorden Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Harriet Sipley Van Gorden; his daughters, Deborah Van Gorden (Greg Dickinson) and Theresa Steckel (Albie); his daughter-in-law Wendy Van Gorden; his son Shawn Van Gorden; his grandson Grant Van Gorden (Sophia); and his siblings, Harold Van Gorden Jr. (Ruth), Mary Ellen Baracvac and Aleta Singer. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
