As Evelyn departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Evelyn may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Evelyn leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Veronica and Charles McTernan; and her husband Nicholas Tolve. She is survived by: her son Jim Tolve of Summit; her grandson John Tolve of Summit; and her siblings-in-law, Adele and Ed Colandrea of New Providence, NJ.. She is also survived by many loving relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial (7 Summit Ave, Summit, NJ 07901). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:45 AM at the St. Teresa's Cemetery (136 Passaic Ave, Summit, NJ 07901).
