He is survived by: his wife Suzanne; his child Chris Lear (Shawn) of Needham, MA; his grandchildren, Lucas and Stella; his son Tim Lear (Eleanor) of Basking Ridge, NJ; his grandchildren, Hyla, James and Tighe; his child Frédérique Schachter (Jeff) of Harding, NJ; and his grandchildren, Sophie, Landon and Delphine.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home (101 S Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church (111 South St, New Providence, NJ 07974). A burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the St Teresa Cemetery (136 Passaic Ave, Summit, NJ 07901).
