She was predeceased by: her parents, Angelina Splendorio (Colatrella) and Ralph Splendorio; and her boyfriend Albert C. Hedlund. She is survived by: her sons, Tommy Stigliano and Michael Stigliano (Deanne); her grandchildren, Torianna, Thomas, Angelina and Michael; and her siblings, Nancy Allen, Michael and Ralph Splendorio. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Shook's Cedar Grove Funeral Home (486 Pompton Ave, Cedar Grove, NJ 07009). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cathedral Basilica (89 Ridge St, Newark, NJ 07104). A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (340 Ridge Rd, North Arlington, NJ 07031).
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Maria to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated.
