He is survived by: his wife Susan Kopala; his children, Jesse Kopala, Damon Kopala (Melanie), Dustin Kopala (Mia Bellamy) and Serena Kopala; his grandchildren, Mia Noel Kopala, Isabella Kopala, Jayciella Kopala, Jacob Kopala, Nathaniel Kopala, Eloise Kopala, Gabriel Kopala and Lillian Irene; his siblings, Elaine Gazzara (Paul), Rosemary Peiffer (Chuck), Richard Kopala and Alfred Kopala; his siblings-in-law, Sandra Strobel (Gregg) and Travis Raney (Terri); and his parents-in-law, Clarence and Jeanne Raney.
