He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Boyle and Audrey McAnena (Boyle); and his mother-in-law Sandra Whitecar. He is survived by: his stepfather Charles McAnena; his wife Cheryl; his son Michael Jr. "Mikey" Boyle; his siblings, Michele Stevens (George), Sheila Lapham (Mark), Susan Majka (Michael), Patricia Cole (late Harold), Christine Strange (Thomas), Thomas Boyle (Arlene), Sharon Gallagher (Stephen), Merry Boyle, Maria Reed (Joseph) and Terence Boyle; his father-in-law Charles; his brother-in-law Charles Whitecar, III; and his caregiver Sherry Pearyer. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to a charity of the donor's choice.
