She was predeceased by: her spouse Richard D. Hoffman; her parent Elmer Erb; her daughter Sherry L. Hoffman; and also, Pete and Donovan.

She is survived by: her parent Mabel Hess; her son Kevin L. Hoffman (Sharon); her grandsons, Kirby Hoffman and Tyler Hoffman; her sisters, Carol Crenshaw, Nancy Smith and Barbara Farina; and also Tolton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Shirley's memory to the Stone Harbor Fire Department, 175 96th St., Stone Harbor, NJ 08247.
