He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Covert and Mildred Covert; and his brother Harold Covert. He is survived by: his wife Diane Covert; his son Dustin Covert (Tara); his stepdaughters, Wendy Jerome (Terry) and Megan King; his grandson Hunter Covert; his stepgrandchildren, Emma Jerome and Jack Jerome; his siblings, Patrica DePugh (Ralph), Helen Shimp (Randall) and Charles Covert; and his siblings-in-law, Doris Van Dyke and Ronald Van Dyke (Ruth).
