He was predeceased by: his parents, Orlo Wales and Helen Wales; his wife Mary Lou Wales; his grandson Johnny Wright; and his pet Shadow.
He is survived by: his daughter Debbie Wright (Greg); his grandchildren, Sarah Ziccardi (Anthony) and Jeffrey Galindo; and his great grandchildren, Zach and Mason.
