He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hoser and Marie Fehr Hoser; his wife Joan Gaylord Hoser; his son Bennett Hoser; his grandson Jonah Hoser; and his sister Anna Marie "Schatz" Hockenbury.

He is survived by: his children, William Hoser (Bryan), Russell Hoser (Kim) and Tina Benjegerdes (Karl); his grandchildren, Ian Hoser, Ashli Hoser, Emma Hoser, Crystal Becker (Jacob), Brandon Hoser (Jessica), Rachel Hoser, Grace Hoser, Sophia Borts (Joseph), Angela Benjegerdes, Vivian Benjegerdes (Carter) and Nathan Benjegerdes; his great grandchildren, Tobias, Charlotte, Emmett Becker, Bennett Hoser and Luella Borts; his sister Ethel Sutphin (Carl); and his close friend Joyce Wichek. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, along with longtime friends.
