Don Cesar Obituary

Don Cesar, age 87, of Stanton, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Spectrum Health Butterworth. Born in Day Township on May 5, 1928, Don is the son of Elmer & Laura (Fravel) Cesar. Don has been preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Frieda; two sisters, Clara and Zelma and two brothers, Charles and Max. Don is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Steve & Sue Cesar of Stanton, Gary & Kelly Cesar of Williamston, Aaron & Lorry Lindsey of Lakeview, Becky & Terry Crawford of Lakeview; one sister, Nona Anderson of Stanton; nine Grandchildren; five Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

An avid outdoorsman, Don especially loved to hunt and fish, which he did as often as he could after retiring from the Montcalm County Road Commission after 22 years. He also loved to camp and work in his garden. Don was an avid card player, whose favorite game was euchre. He was a loving family man who loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation with Don's family will be on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 5-8 PM at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan. Funeral services for Don are being held on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 beginning at 11 AM, also at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan, with Pastor Mark Edwards officiating. Final interment will be at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Stanton.
