He is survived by: his wife Karen Verrinder; his children, Sam Alpern (Doris), David Alpern (Carla), Dawn Verrinder (Martin) and Dwayne Verrinder; his grandchildren, Dylan, Rebecca, Abigail, Emma, Alex and Logan; and his sister Jo-Martha Glushko (William Velardocchia).
