He was predeceased by: his parents, Anne Madden and John Madden; his sister Marianne; and his daughter-in-law Carol Norton. He is survived by: his wife Paula Maida Mooney; his children, Richard, Jr. (Kelly), Emily, Connor, Daniel of Glastonbury, CT and Steven; his granddaughter Eliza of Burlington, VT; his stepson John Mooney (Amanda) of Mission Viejo, CA; his brothers, Vincent (Margaret) of Carmichael, CA, Gerard (Carol) of Wethersfield, CT and John (Janet) of Newington, CT; his sister-in-law Marian (Wayne Johnson) of Springfield, NJ; and his niece Laura (Scott Peterson) of Long Branch, NJ. He is also survived by five children, and eight grandchildren.
