It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gilda Tobia of Springfield, New Jersey, born in Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on June 6, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Andrew; her parents, Albert Vellanti and Florence Vellanti; her siblings, Agnes Kalkus, Louise Cerami, Dominick and Samuel Vellanti; and her son-in-law Michael Stefanyak.

She is survived by: her children, Michael A. Tobia, Adrienne G. Stefanyak and Ann Marie Milanesi (Joseph); her grandchildren, Carrie Davis (Thomas), Michael C. Stefanyak, Jr. (Christina), Alexander A. Stefanyak, Michelle Tobia (Michael) and Andrew A. Tobia (Amanda); and her great grandchildren, Nicholas, Olivia Davis, Rocco Stefanyak and Giovanna Guerrieri. She is also survived by extended family members, including nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
