It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald A. Matthews (Springfield, New Jersey), who passed away on February 29, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Stanton and Florence Matthews; his siblings, Joseph Robert, Shawn Matthews and Gail Eleuteri; and his siblings-in-law, John Eleuteri, Aral Demirtas and Sharon Matarese.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Matthews (Matarese); his children, Donna Sadler (Kevin), Theresa Matthews, Donald Matthews Jr. (Jill), Chris Matthews (Jennifer), Tina Ventura (Lenny) and Katie Monroe (Brian); his siblings, Jeanne Matthews, Florence Matthews, John S. Matthews (Betty Jane) and Eileen Foga (Philip); his siblings-in-law, Nancy Matthews, Carol Sawyer (Walter), Jo Bair and Ralph Matarese; and his grandchildren, Nicole, Kristina Sadler, Michelle, Kyle Matthews, Zachary, Tiffany, Bradley Matthews, Emily, Anthony Ventura, Nate Auer and Monroe. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
