She was predeceased by: her husband Arthur "Otty" Hoyt; and her sons, Stephen and Keith. She is survived by: her children, Adrienne Gilman (Richard), Marcia Floden (New Jersey), Scott Hoyt (Ana), Allyson Stuart (Charles) and Ruthie Hoyt (New Jersey); and her grandchildren, Jeopardy, Got Talent and Cashman.
In lieu of flowers, Joan's family asks that a donation be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her honor.
