He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Louise Young (Wagner); his children, George E. Jr. (Barbara) of Garden City, NY, Mary Ann Horne (Fred) of Savannah, GA, Christine L. Lucey (Daniel) of Shrewsbury, MA, Constance A. Crimmins (Robert) of Ramsey, NJ and Joan F. Eccleston (Larry) of Jersey City, NJ.; his grandchildren, D. J., Brian, Philip, Matthew, Alyson, Christopher, Alex, Bobby and Brendan; and his great grandchildren, George and Marylou.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, MA in memory of George E. Young.
