She is survived by: her mother Rita De Risi Capolongo; her siblings, Ferdinando, Clemente Capolongo, Giovannina Capolongo and Keri Popkin; her aunts, Philomena De Risi Siciliano, Helen De Risi, Marta Capolongo and Sylvia; her uncle Andy Volpe; her niece Angelina Capolongo; her nephews, Christopher Cox and Frankie Capolongo; her friends, Diane Van Syckel, Traci Falvey and Carrie Wyckoff; and her pets, Lucy and Dunkin.

“I remember the night before I was leaving for college she knocked on my bedroom window and stayed at my house to say god bye. “I am so saddened by the loss of your sweet Lena. She and I went to high school together and spent many days on Manasquan Beach in the summers. I remember her as being so kind and always working hard at everything she did. I loved her old VW bug and driving with the blanket she kept in the car. My memories of her will always make me smile.
