He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis and Evelyn Wilton, Sr.; and his brother Francis E "Frank" Wilton. He is survived by: his siblings, Danny Wilton, Thomas (Fran Wilton), Edward (Pat Wilton), John Wilton, Arthur (Lisa Wilton), Evelyn Maxwell, Ann (Tom Connors), Mary (Joe Austin) and Marian (Mike Marshowsky); his son James Albert Wilton (Tracy); his grandchildren, Jack Parker, Carley Shea and Lola Rose; his daughter Amanda Jane Eineker (Mike Eineker); and his grandchildren, Patrick and Declan. He is also survived by friend, son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and great-uncle to his 10 siblings along with their 33 children, his family and friends.
