He was predeceased by: his father George E. Newman Sr.; and his siblings-in-law, Sharon Cory and Michael Riley. He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Riley Newman; his children, Deborah Newman-Zupko (Joseph), John Newman (Marie) and Robert Newman; his grandchildren, Kim Zupko-Tete (Charles), Joseph, Michael and Christopher; his great grandchildren, Ella, Reya and Lila; his sister Barbara Moore (Edward); and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Bloodgood (Bill) and Glen Cory Sr.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many cousins.
