Valentino V. Sica Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Valentino V. Sica of Sparta, New Jersey, who passed away on December 5, 2021 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Italian; his wife Katherine; his daughters, Valerie Trainor (Doug) and Paula Sica-Scripsick (Mike); and his granddaughters, Amalia and Luisa. He was also cherished by his wife, children, and granddaughters.
Though fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and infrequently leaving his home, he contracted the virus in late November. Unfortunately, with his preexisting autoimmune deficiency and his advanced age, the vaccine was not enough to help him fight this terrible disease in the way that it so effectively protects most people, a reminder that we should all do what we can to end this epic pandemic and its devastating toll on our most vulnerable.
