He was predeceased by: his daughter Caitlyn; his parents, Peter McIntyre and Sabina McIntyre; and his father-in-law George Gaspar. He is survived by: his wife Maggie McIntyre; his children, Sean, Shannon, Devon and Megan; his brother Brendan (Dawn); his nephew Ian; his brother James (Maria); his nieces and nephews, Eric and Allison; his sister Brenda; and his mother-in-law Mary Gaspar.

In lieu of flowers, a scholarship will be set up in the near future in Mac's honor to support a Sparta High School Senior Girls and Boys Basketball Player.
