It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Joyce Marie Younkers of Sparta, New Jersey, who passed away at the age of 90, on April 14, 2023. She was predeceased by: her husband Richard F. Younkers; her parents, Fred B. Carpenter and Lillian Carpenter; and her brother Ernest. She is survived by: her children, Richard Jr. (Andrea), Karen DeFriest (Robert) and Jerald (Linda); her brothers, Bernard and Melvin; and her grandchildren, Jennelle, Rob, Dan, Brianne, Mindy, Jeremy, Kendrick, Bethany and Dana. She is also survived by great grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Joyce had requested donations be made to the Sparta Historical Society Van Kirk Museum.
